If you want to take to the water in Graftor, Carroll, or Belknap County, then you will be sure be visiting Squam Lake. Heading out down in Rockingham County? Then you will definitely want to go to Pawtuckaway Lake.
For those in the know, one of the best lakes to visit in Sullivan and Merrimack County is Lake Sunapee. Not to far east is another great lake in Grafton County where you can spend the day on Newfound Lake.
If you are looking for a beautiful scene full of lake and mountains, then you will need to go a bit more east to Carroll County and Ossipee Lake. Although, if you would rather be on a lake with Big Sky, then you will really enjoy Spofford Lake in Cheshire County.
Although On Golden Pond takes most of the spotlight, many of the locals know that one of the nicest lakes is actually Winnisquam Lake in Belknap County.
Rounding it out are Great East Lake and Conway Lakes, both in Carroll County.
